12-Year Old Charged With Aggravated Assault

A 12-year old Sioux Falls boy is facing aggravated assault charges after making threats toward kids on the playground at Garfield Elementary shortly before 8pm Sunday evening.

According to police, the boy was waving a box cutter around while making threats and even held the blade up to a 7-year old girl's face. The girl confirmed the threat when interviewed.

The boy was arrested at his home.
