We all have our Christmas song favorites, the holiday classics that we find ourselves singing or humming along to every time we hear them. It may be the great songs we sang along to at church on Christmas Eve like 'Away In A Manger', 'Silent Night', or 'Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem'. Or it could be the holiday classics we love like 'The Christmas Song', 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' or maybe 'Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer'.

But every once in a while it's fun to hear a 'song for the season' that, well maybe, you haven't heard before...or had forgotten all about!

There's a Christmas song that, every time I hear it, brings a smile to my face. It's called 'Lighten Up, It's Christmas', and was released as a single (backed by 'Santa Claus Is Back In Town') by the Gleezinslaw's.

But hold on just one doggone minute! The who?

The Geezinslaw's, or more properly, the Geezinslaw Brothers. So of course, the next natural question is...who are the Gellezinslaw Brothers?

Well, according to WikipediaThe Geezinslaw Brothers, also known as The Geezinslaws, is an Austin, Texas-based country music comedy duo consisting of Sammy Allred and Dewayne "Son" Smith. They have been performing for more than 50 years and released numerous recordings over a 40+ year span from 1963 to 2005.

So when the stress of the holiday season gets a bit, uh, overwhelming, just take the Geezinslaw's advice: Lighten Up, Its Christmas!
