The Summit League

The Summit League and the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center have signed an extension that will keep the annual basketball championships in Sioux Falls.

Tom Douple has been instrumental in the growth and development of the Summit League. After 16 years, Douple will step down from the commissioner chair.

July 1st is marked with many changes around the NCAA, and the day also marks the return of 10 full-time members for the Summit League.

The road for the South Dakota Showdown Series will go through Brookings as 12 upcoming spring events will be hosted by South Dakota State.

The Summit League has announced its plan on hosting the fall sports this upcoming spring, and the league will host a championship at the Sanford Pentagon.

The Summit League will begin conference play for men's and women's basketball in January and the setup will be a lot different than what we've seen before.

Two weeks ago the Summit League announced that they would push back the start of fall sports to the end of September. Two weeks later and those sports are now postponed until the spring.

Add the Summit League to the list of conferences that will delay the start of the upcoming fall season.

For the second time in three seasons, the University of South Dakota basketball teams led The Summit League in total attendance.
