We never think about how a storm could affect us, but it may be time to invest in a generator after this weekend and for most of a day without power.

The City of Sioux Falls has announced that there are two additional sites to drop off tree debris after Tuesday's tornadoes.

When three tornadoes hit Sioux Falls late Tuesday night not all of the sirens went off. People were upset by this because, in the opinion of some people I have interacted with, that is their only cue to seek shelter when a tornado comes. That is an incredibly short sighted and dangerous plan.

Tornadoes are known to do weird things. One tree will be uprooted and another a few feet away will be fine. They can also turn objects into missles.

The storms that happened on Tuesday night feel unreal. It's something that you never think would actually happen. Well, at least I never thought it could happen.
