As fall gives way to winter in the upper plains, the big question is...will we have a white Christmas?

Using their long-range models and looking at a very strong La Niña pattern, the forecast tells us the brace for a "wet winter whirlwind." Gee...that sounds swell.

Here's what to expect when it comes to extreme heat and heavy rain this summer.
