FCS Playoffs

Third-ranked South Dakota will take on the 15th-ranked Sacramento State Hornets.

In case you've missed it, we've been pretty spoiled here in South Dakota this Fall with very high-quality college football.

Both South Dakota and South Dakota State football have earned top 8 seeds in the 2023 FCS Playoffs that start Saturday.

The No. 1 seed in the FCS Playoffs is the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and they rolled in their opening round game.

SDSU was named the No. 1 seed in the FCS Playoffs for the first time in program history as the brackets were released on Sunday afternoon.

The South Dakota State football team has played a lot of games in 2021, but that amazing run came to a end on Saturday with a loss in the semi finals.

SDSU defeated Villanova 35-21 after putting together a dominating second half that included a 21-0 run after halftime.

SDSU defeated Sacramento State 24-19 on Saturday night, picking up a huge road win and advancing to the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs.

Locally, the University of South Dakota Coyotes and South Dakota State University both saw their names called in the brackets that were released on Sunday.
