Sioux Falls got healthier and got after Erie 136-100 Monday night in a home win at the Sanford Pentagon. The Skyforce outscored the BayHawks in each quarter during the rout.

There was no let up as the lead grew steadily throughout the contest and Skyforce Coach Nevada Smith was proud of his team for not being complacent.

“We’ve been talking all year about blowing leads and getting up and then relaxing a little bit. We just want to hit singles all game, just take what they give us, not try to do too much and keep the pedal down. I thought we did that tonight especially in the third quarter.”

Forward Erik McCree feels confident that things are coming together after some uneven times during the first eight games.

“I think we’ve got some stuff we need to clean up. For the most part, when we’ve got everybody healthy I think this is something we can definitely get used to with this group.”

The top two scorers for Sioux Falls (5-4) were both returning from time away due to injury. Torrey Craig finished with 35 points and 11 rebounds with McCree adding 22 for the ‘Force. Kadeem Jack had a banner night by supplying 20 points and 19 rebounds.

Roscoe Smith led Erie (5-6) with 23 points and 7 boards. Meanwhile Tyler Dorsey who is on assignment from the Atlanta Hawks scored 21 off the bench.

Erie will play at the Windy City Bulls on Wednesday while Sioux Falls waits until Friday to square off against the Santa Cruz Warriors.
