The 2020 season for the SDSU football team has been moved to the Spring of 2021, but that wont keep them from having a football game on Hobo Day.

Hobo Day is the annual homecoming celebration at South Dakota State and usually is a huge celebration in Brookings.

With the ongoing pandemic, Hobo Day will look much different on the campus of SDSU but they will still have some football.

The SDSU Athletic Department announced on Wednesday that the football team would be playing a scrimmage on October 31 for Hobo Days.

The plan is to have a similar setup to the Spring game in regards to format and will kick off at 2 PM.

Attendance will be limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and will be given to students, family members and season ticket holders.

There will be no tailgating, no premium seating available and fans must wear a face covering entering Dana J Dykehouse Stadium.

No matter the restrictions or differences from a normal Hobo Day, it is pretty cool that SDSU is still providing a game day experience even though their 2020 season has been postponed to 2021.
