Minnesota Gophers defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. will leave the school to enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

Winfield Jr. confirmed his intentions to leave the school for the NFL Draft on his Instagram page. During his redshirt sophomore year this past season, Winfield Jr had 85 tackles, seven interceptions, and three sacks. His 2019 season earned him First-Team All American and Big Ten First-Team honors, along with being named the Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year.

The son of former Minnesota Vikings star defensive back Antoine Winfield, Winfield Jr. has a current NFL Draft projection of being a second-round pick according to Rotoworld.

Winfield Jr. helped lead the Gophers to an 11-2 overall record and a victory at the Outback Bowl over Auburn.
