Mark Had Great Season with Baseball Team
It's hard to believe we are well into Summer. Time does fly when you are having fun, and the Summer of 2018 has been a great one!
Among all the things we did, one of the things in the showcase is a very fun and successful baseball season for the team I coached.
Yes, we worked hard. But like I told the boys at the start of the year, they call it "playing baseball" for a reason. We are playing!
The goals we set at the first practice were as follows: 1) We are going to become better players, 2) We are going to have fun, 3) We are going to try to win more games than we lose, and most importantly, 4) We are going to be just as excited about playing baseball at the last game of the year as we were at the start of the season.
To be able to do all of the above, it's takes some magic. Magic that only dedicated young players, parents and coaches can create. Well we achieved our goals 100 percent along with a bonus.
The bonus was, we created some friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Here's to another good year in the sun!
A little fun meeting before each game:
One of the fun things at the end of the year is giving each player a trophy. Here's my son Mark Jr. getting his:
