Iowa-Based Grocery Store Will Start Accepting PayPal, Venmo
If you shop at Hy-Vee, you'll have a new way to pay.
According to a press release from Hy-Vee, the grocery store will start accepting new forms of payment in their Aisles Online system.
Starting today (Monday), customers who shop Hy-Vee online will have the option to pay for their groceries via PayPal or Venmo.
Jody Gosch, chief technology officer and executive vice president at Hy-Vee, said in the release:
Our Aisles Online platform has continued to evolve alongside our customers’ needs since we launched this service. With this new integration of PayPal and Venmo, we can help customers make their Aisles Online shopping even easier and faster than before.
An executive with PayPal said in the release that online shopping for groceries in outlets like Hy-Vee's Aisles Online has majorly jumped in the last 5 years. Stats back that claim too, with many of us starting that habit during the COVID pandemic in 2020.
Hy-Vee hopes that by allowing PayPal and Venmo, they can not only make customers' lives easier, but also streamline their payment processes, give customers more choices, and "offer a comprehensive solution for online transactions". PayPal and Venmo are often easy since you can stay logged into them on your devices and don't have to deal with getting your credit or debit card out to pay.
Aisles Online allows you to choose if you want to get your groceries via pickup or delivery. You can get more details on Aisles Online shopping at Hy-Vee's website.
