There are Over 80 New Foods at the 2024 Iowa State Fair [LIST]

The top three Best New Fair Food finalists have been announced! The items that fairgoers will be able to vote on during the Iowa State Fair are:
- Destination Grille – Lobster Corn Dog ($20)
- A full North American lobster tail that's lightly deep-fried in scratch-made batter and seasoned with cayenne pepper and salt - topped with a lemon aioli drizzle, paprika, herbs, and 24-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano
- Whatcha Smokin? BBQ – Iowa Sm‘Oak’ed Roll ($14)
- "...a smoked pork tenderloin stuffed with jasmine rice, jalapeno creamed corn, smoked poblano queso and Giddy Up Texas taco sauce, and finished with poblano ranch, Giddy Up, green onion and smoked sesame seeds."
- Winn & Sara’s Kitchen – Bacon Cheeseburger Eggroll ($12)
- "...features a rich and flavorful blend of our deliciously seasoned ground beef, perfectly cooked smoky bacon, fresh and tangy pickles and a melty rich cheese filling, all wrapped in a crispy golden brown pastry eggroll, and then drizzled with Winn and Sara’s house-made burger sauce!"
The semi-finalists include:
- JR’s SouthPork Ranch - Party Balls ($10)
- AE Party Dip infused with bell pepper, parsley, and onion - covered in potato chips and deep-fried
- The Bird’s Nest - Deep-Fried Uncrustable PB&J ($9)
- An Uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwich deep-fried in waffle batter - topped with powdered sugar and honey
- Jada’s Concessions - Funnel Cake Burger ($20)
- A burger topped with bacon and queso with two small funnel cakes as buns - sprinkled with powdered sugar
- Biscuit Bar - Piggy in a Donut ($8)
- A sausage on-a-stick that's dipped in batter, fried, rolled in sugar, and served with syrup
- Dough Crazy - Dough-chos ($11)
- Waffle cone chips topped with chocolate chip cookie dough, ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, brownie, and cheesecake bites
- Bubbly Bar & Bistro - Tipsy Peach ($13)
- Sliced peaches on a crispy sugar pearl waffle with lemon mascarpone and fresh thyme
- Iowa Specialty Crop Growers Association - Cinnamon Crunch Apple Taco ($6.50)
- A cinnamon sugar tortilla with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, homemade apple pie filling, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a sprinkle of cinnamon toast crunch sugar
- The Snack Bar - Lemonade Donut Drops ($6)
- Bute-sized lemonade-flavored donuts that are shaken in sugar and served in a cup
Fairgoers will be able to cast their vote for their favorite fair food finalist beginning on starting Thursday, August 8th through Wednesday, August 14th at midnight. The winner will be announced Friday, August 16th.

The Iowa State Fair is known for having all sorts of unique, delicious dishes, and this year will be no exception!
Now that we're officially less than a month away from the 2024 Iowa State Fair, all of this year's new foods have been revealed! Here are some of the interesting new foods that will debut at the fair, courtesy of the Iowa State Fair website:

- Barbie Era Funnel Cake
- Funnel cake topped with white chocolate and raspberry truffle glaze, whipped cream, pink sprinkles, and Barbie décor

- Fries topped with pork belly, Sam Adam's Beer Cheese Sauce, and parsley
- Bubbly Bar & Bistro, $15
- BLT on a Stick
- Bacon, lettuce, and tomato with mayo dressing on a stick

- Butterscotch and caramel-infused vanilla ice cream with a chocolate wafer straw
