Google Maps is probably one of the most used apps on my phone. It gives me directions, AND often it will provide you with a picture of the place you are heading to from Streetview. What's fun sometimes is to go back in time, and look at how certain places or locations changed over the years. One place that was once a busy family-fun destination in Ramsey that has been long closed was just photographed from the sky, and it's SO beautiful but eerie at the same time.

Game Time Sports Park, previously located off Highway 10 near Ferret Street, was once a family-fun destination for outdoor go-kart racing. The business, which has been closed for more than a decade, was recently photographed from above by drone photographer, Jon Pittman, of JP Drone Solutions. What he was able to capture to me is beautiful but so eerie, as nature continues to slowly take over.

JP Drone Solutions was kind enough to let me share what they shot.

It reminds me of my childhood, we occasionally would get the chance to go to Blaine and use the bumper boats, go-karts, and indoor arcade at the now-forgotten Gasoline Alley.

It's a shame that many of these small amusement parks, and tracks, have closed up over the years. Are kids just not into this type of entertainment?

While the smell of two-stroke engines, the track, and business are now all 'gone' the memories that kids growing up around the Ramsey area had when visiting places like Game Time Sports Park will live on.

Please note this location is private property, please don't trespass.
