Tuesday Morning Closing 7 South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota Stores
Shoppers in the Tri-State Area (Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota) will have one fewer option available to them.
National retail chain Tuesday Morning is closing close to 300 stores nationwide as it enters Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in the last three years.
In papers filed this week with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas - Fort Worth Division, the Dallas-based retailer said the store closures were necessary to "reduce its outstanding liabilities, obtain significant and necessary capital and ultimately transform into a nimbler retailer that serves heritage markets in a profitable manner."
The list of store closings includes seven stores in Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota:
TUESDAY MORNING STORE CLOSINGS - IOWA
- 2900 University Ave - Des Moines
- Coral Ridge Mall - Coralville
- Village Shopping Center - Davenport
TUESDAY MORNING STORE CLOSINGS - MINNESOTA
- 7 & 41 Crossings Center - Excelsior
- I2730 Division St. - St. Cloud
- Har Mar Mall - Roseville
A fourth location in Plymouth had already closed prior to this announcement.
TUESDAY MORNING STORE CLOSINGS - SOUTH DAKOTA
- Plaza 41 - Sioux Falls
Prior to the 2020 bankruptcy, there were 687 Tuesday Morning stores in America. That number will now shrink to 218 after 296 stores shut their doors.
