Drivers trying to access Interstate 29 in Sioux Falls will have one fewer option for the next several weeks.

Beginning Monday (May 15), the South Dakota Department of Transportation will be closing the southbound on-ramp on I-29 (exit 77) at 41st Street in Sioux Falls.

The ramp closure is expected to be in effect for up to two months.

Detours will direct motorists to the 26th Street exit via Marion Road and Louise Avenue.

The work is all part of the Diverging Diamond Interchange Project at I-29 and 41st Street, which began in early 2022 and is expected to be complete by the summer of 2024.
