Flood Relief, U-Haul’s 30-Day Free Storage Lifeline
U-Haul is extending a helping hand to residents of Davison and Lincoln counties in South Dakota affected by recent severe flooding. The company is providing 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to those impacted by the disaster.
Since Thursday, the region has experienced unprecedented rainfall, leading to flash floods and road closures in Sioux Falls and Mitchell. Local authorities have issued evacuation notices for residents in flood-prone areas.
Recognizing the critical need for storage solutions during post-disaster recovery, Eric Erbentraut, President of U-Haul Company of Fargo, has authorized two stores in his region to participate in this relief effort. The offer includes complimentary U-Box container delivery and pickup from residential locations.
"Our goal is to support our community during this challenging time," Erbentraut stated. "By offering free storage, we hope to alleviate some of the stress our neighbors are facing."
The 30-day free offer is available for new storage and U-Box rentals, subject to availability. Affected residents seeking assistance or more information should contact their nearest participating U-Haul facility.
This initiative is part of U-Haul's ongoing commitment to providing disaster relief support to communities in need.
