Over 500 musicians hit the stage of the beautiful outdoor amphitheater in downtown Sioux Falls.

Almost 90,000 people attended Levitt at the Falls events in person during the summer of 2024, with an average concert attendance of 1,863.

The Levitt partnered with SDPB to livestream performances on Facebook, YouTube, and sdpb.org/music.

This added an additional 165,119 people in 73 countries who enjoyed Levitt concerts through live streaming access.

Levitt At The Falls Summer Concerts: A Resounding Success

Nancy Halverson, President and CEO of Levitt at the Falls said. “It’s been a phenomenal season at the Levitt. We are honored to create a welcoming space in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls where our community can gather throughout the entire summer to enjoy the power of free, live music.”

Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience brought the largest crowd to the Levitt Shell during the opening weekend, with 6,459 people in attendance.

On the 4th of July, 5,291 people attended the KORY and the FIREFLIES concert, marking the second-largest concert of the 2024 season. 

Each Levitt concert this season featured a local or regional opening act thanks to our Share the Stage sponsor, Avera Health.

2024 also marked an exciting time of growth as Levitt at the Falls announced plans to build an expansion to the Levitt Shell.

Thanks to a lead gift from Dick and Kathy Sweetman, the $5 million project is expected to break ground in the fall of 2025.

The expansion will allow the Levitt to continue expanding programming such as festivals, summer camps, educational opportunities, and music accessibility for all in downtown Sioux Falls.

The entire season would not have been possible without the support of over 150 volunteers who dedicated a combined total of 3,480 hours to supporting access to free, live music.
