The extreme arctic air that had its grip on the Sioux Empire these past few days has finally moved out of the area. Thank God, right?

The sub-zero temps created a variety of problems for people throughout the Sioux Falls area in the form of cars that wouldn't start, frozen pipes, frozen digits, the list of hassles and gripes, goes on and on.

This most recent arctic blast has also left the area with the news of a heartbreaking story of a Sioux Empire woman who appears to have lost her life as a result of the extreme cold conditions.
