Sioux Falls 4th of July Celebration Cancelled

That was the word Wednesday afternoon from The City of Sioux Falls. The latest weather forecast information from the National Weather Service says there's a pretty good chance of rain on the 4th. Maybe even a thunderstorm.
The City of Sioux Falls is canceling the 5K Family Fun Run/Walk, the 4th of July Parade, the Picnic, and the afternoon entertainment
"Safety of every resident is our top priority,” Jackie Nelson Recreation Manager for Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation said in a statement, “We understand the disappointment this may bring to the community and participants who enjoy the tradition of the Independence Day Celebration. We appreciate residents understanding and support and look forward to seeing everyone at future events.”
