It was the late 70's when I first saw Willie live up in Bismarck N.D.

I was working in Aberdeen when KKAA was the Country station up there and Willie was coming to Bismarck and we decided to drive up.  By the way, the show was a whole lot better than that drive from Aberdeen to Bismarck!

It was the height of the Outlaw Country Movement, with Willie, Waylon, Paycheck, David Alan Coe and others doing country music their way.  I, along with millions of others, loved it.

There was another country music outlaw that opened the show.  His name was Jerry Jeff Walker, a true Texas song stylist.  Jerry had, uh, apparently imbibed a bit before the show.  It was an interesting opening act.

Then Willie and family, including his sister Bobbie on piano.  A great show!  For the encore, Willie said he was going to sing a song from his "new album that was coming out in a couple months".  That encore? "Georgia On My Mind" and the album that was coming out was the all-time legendary disc "Stardust".

Now Willie is bringing the show to Sioux City for one night, September 18th, at the Orpheum Theater.  It'll be your chance to experience Willie music.
