The Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum of Natural History is a wonderful place to explore year-round. President and CEO of the zoo, Elizabeth Whealy, reminds us that, "No matter the season, the Great Plains Zoo is a source of family fun and connections to the natural world. The Zoo is open 361 days a year, and the winter months are a great time to explore the seasonal beauty of the Zoo and to visit our cool weather-loving creatures, like Reindeer and Snow Monkeys."

Another cool weather-loving creature lands at the zoo on Saturday, December 7, and your kids would love to spend some time with him, I'm sure! The Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum is hosting its annual "Breakfast with Santa" event from 9 AM to 1 PM. Admission is free with zoo membership or with paid admission.

The Delbridge Museum has been turned into a winter wonderland, where children will get to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, have a sweet breakfast treat, listen to holiday music, see more than 25 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and do a fun craft project.

You and your children will also get to enjoy up-close animal encounters with winter-themed zookeeper chats with Snow Monkeys, Amur Tigers and Brown Bears out on the zoo grounds.

Remember your cameras or phones, to get treasured, keepsake photos from this fun event! For more information see the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum online, on Facebook or call 605-367-7003.
