The 2017 CMA Awards will take place on Nov. 8, but before the stars align at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena for the 51st annual event, The Boot wants to know who our readers think will go home with the awards in each of the show's 12 categories. Song of the Year is an honor that is awarded to the writer of the winning song, and this year, the nominees include some big names in both songwriting and performance.
"Body Like a Back Road," Sam Hunt's record-breaking single was written by Zach Crowell, Hunt, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne -- men who are at the top of their game as of late. Miranda Lambert's "Tin Man," meanwhile, was written by the artist along with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.
"Better Man," performed by Little Big Town, was composed by none other than country-turned-pop superstar Taylor Swift, who says that she knew LBT's trademark harmonies would be perfect for the song when she penned it. Jon Pardi hit it big this year with "Dirt on My Boots," written by Rhett Akins, Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley, while "Blue Ain't Your Color," the country waltz performed by Keith Urban, was written by Clint Lagerberg, Hillary Lindsey and Steven Lee Olsen.
