DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) — Two Los Angeles men caught with what authorities said was more than 50 pounds of marijuana in South Dakota have been sentenced. They were ordered to serve two years in the South Dakota State Penitentiary.

Authorities say the men were arrested after a search of their recreational vehicle in Lawrence County in November 2014 turned up 55, 1-pound bags of marijuana.

They each could have faced up to 30 years in prison but reached a plea agreement with prosecutors late last month.
