11th Annual Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk Gets Underway

The Downtown Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk kicks off its 11th season Saturday (May 3) as dozens of new art pieces are installed for the coming year.

Since it began in 2003, over 500 sculptures have been on display through the downtown area, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors.

From May through September, the public votes for The People's Choice sculpture, and that sculpture is purchased by the City of Sioux Falls.

Here's the schedule of events for the weekend:

Installation & Unveiling: Saturday, May 3, 2014

5-8:30 a.m. - Artists & volunteers install sculptures

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sculptors on-site and available for interviews

SculptureWalk Expo

Washington Pavilion, Sioux Falls, SD

May 3, 2014 at 12 p.m.-6 p.m.

May 4, 2014 at 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
