Beginning in 1978, we made 157 trips to Fantasy Island.

Hosted by Mr. Roarke (Ricardo Montalban) and his assistant Tattoo (Herve Villechaize), guest's fantasies would come true, but often with a twist that we (nor they) saw coming.

Like another TV series hit at that time, "The Love Boat", "Fantasy Island" would feature well known guest stars each week, perhaps Bill Bixby, Peter Lawford or Carol Lynley...whoever was well known at the time.  In fact, "Fantasy Island" aired on ABC Saturday Night's right after "The Love Boat".

The series came to an end in 1984 (there was a new version in the 1990's) and we no longer heard Tattoo ring the bell when he saw "Ze Plane, Ze Plane!".
