It's one of those song's we call a 'signature song'.  One of those great hit's that, when you hear it on the radio, you reach over, turn it up, and find yourself singing along.

'Rose Colored Glasses'.

In 1978, that song became the first of John Conlee's 22 Top Ten Country hits.  He'd follow it with great #1 smash hit's like 'Lady Lay Down', 'Backside of Thirty', 'Common Man', 'I'm Only In It For The Love' and several more.

Raised on a tobacco farm in Kentucky, John moved to Nashville in 1971 and has been a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry for over 30 years.

Now, the numbers alone would be enough for Hall of Fame consideration...32 singles have made the Billboard National Country charts, over a half-dozen #1's and a career still going strong over 40 years later.

Is John Conlee the biggest star in the history of Country Music?  Of course not.

Should he be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as one of it's greatest stars? Think about it.

Oh, and go ahead, click on the video below, turn it up and sing along with 'Rose Colored Glasses'.
