October 14 has been proclaimed National Dessert Day. Your mission - should you choose to accept it - is to eat your dessert first, before the main meal.

Every year at this time I think of a friend of mine in college who use to always eat his dessert first, not just on October 14.

He was one who, when he was full, would put his fork down and that was it, no more food went into the old pie hole!!!

And yes, he's skinny to this day. Wish I had that kind of willpower.

By eating his dessert first, he joked he never missed out "satisfying his sweet tooth."
