NBA basketball is back! After the Miami Heat won their second straight championship last season, 29 teams are hoping to dethrone them and win a title of their own. Who will win the 2013-2014 NBA championship?

Miami has to be considered the early favorite to lift the trophy again, bringing back the core of its two-time defending champion roster, including the best basketball player alive, LeBron James. However, there are a number of teams that are in prime position to wrestle the title away from the Heat.

Oklahoma City will have Russell Westbrook back for a playoff run later in the season to pair up with superstar Kevin Durant. The San Antonio Spurs have been defying age for years and will most likely do so again this year. Chicago has point guard Derrick Rose back. Brooklyn added Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to a loaded roster, and Dwight Howard should, with James Harden, lead the Rockets into contention.

Even though Miami has won the last two NBA Finals, it can easily be argued that they are not the best team in the NBA coming into this season.
