When will Dale Earnhardt, Jr. be back driving his race car? That's the question of many racing fans right now.

Another question circling in the racing world, is how long Jeff Gordon will be filling in as a driver. Earnhardt has been out with a concussion.

Let's answer both questions as best we can. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss at least two more races and will continue to be replaced by four-time series champion Jeff Gordon.

Earnhardt reported that he continues to have issues with both balance and vision stabilization. He has sat out the last three races.

Gordon will drive the number 88 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports next at Watkins Glen and then at Bristol. That will mark a total of five races that Gordon, coming out of retirement, will have driven for the recovering Earnhardt.
