How many television comedies have come and gone in the last 60+ years of television? Too many to count. Some you loved, some you didn't and others came and went so fast you didn't even notice them! According to the poll by "60 Minutes" and "Vanity Fair", it was "Seinfeld" that was the greatest ever. Well, here's my Top 5 comedy TV shows of all-time. Let me know what your Top 5 are!

    I Love Lucy

The most iconic and legendary of not only all television comedies, but of all television shows in general. Although airing well over 50 years ago, Lucy and Ricky and Fred and Ethel are still seen daily somewhere in the world. And all these years later there are still so many episodes that are simply laugh out loud funny. I understand it was a "can't miss" show when it originally aired and it still holds up all these years later.

    The Beverly Hillbillies

I almost put "All In The Family" right here but the Hillbillies were such a huge part of my "growing up" years, I just couldn't leave out Granny, Jed, Jethro, Elly Mae, Miss Hathaway, Mr. Drysdale and the rest. "All In The Family" certainly generated more controversy and was really hilarious, but hey...it's my list and I might just go out back and relax by the cement pond.

    The Andy Griffith Show

Who didn't want to live in Mayberry with Andy, Barney, Opie, Aunt Bea, Gomer, Floyd and the rest of the residents of this fictional heaven. I have to say though, the black and white episodes are the absolute best because those are the one's Barney's in. Don Knotts (Barney) left the show after the first 5 years and was and remains my absolute favorite television character of all time. When he left, it was still good, but his antics made the show an all time great.

    M*A*S*H

I loved watching MASH and still do. From the first season to the record breaking finale, it was amazing to watch the changes in the show, not only in the cast but in the underlying theme's to the shows. There aren't many shows that can undergo the cast changes that this show did, and with most of the major characters, and still stay on top of it's game. Hawkeye was the only character to appear in every episode. An all time TV character and show.

    Seinfeld

OK, I have to admit it. I have to agree with the poll and name "Seinfeld" as my favorite TV comedy of all time. I love all the characters, not just the main one's and I think the show was extremely well written. The chemistry between Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer was top-notch and the "secondary" characters and guests seemed to fit in perfectly. This show introduced phrases into our language (yadda-yadda-yadda, Master of my Domain to name a couple) and to this day I can't watch Julia Louis-Dreyfuss without seeing Elaine Benes. This is one of those shows (and you probably have one or two) where I can watch the first 5 seconds and know which episode it is. A TV classic for sure.
