What's next for David Blatt after he was fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers last week?

A question that you would think would be one of the first that many in the basketball world would be thinking about after an NBA coach is fired, but in the case of Blatt's firing, that question has been put to the back burner.

Depending on what you want to believe, it was either a lack of chemistry and really a lack of true continuity or it was a direct order from Lebron James to fire Blatt.

Regardless of how it went down, Blatt was fired and a coach who had the best team in the Eastern Conference and a overall record of 83-40 in a year and a half and yet he is on the unemployment line.

The feeling that I get is that Blatt will try and stay in the NBA and not go back to overseas where he is considered one of the best coaches of all time in international basketball.

Sources have told me that the likely hood that Blatt will be a head coach in the NBA next year is fairly good with the likes of Minnesota and Phoenix likely to have openings among others.

I'm sure there are plenty of international offers that have been made to Blatt even in the small amount of time that he has been unemployed, but I just can't see Blatt settling for this as his NBA experience.

He's too good of a coach and has too much of a legacy overseas to end it this way and I think he will get into another situation similar to what Cleveland would of been if LeBron didn't return and with a rebuilding situation, I think Blatt can succeed.

The Cavaliers hired Tyronn Lue to take over for Blatt and the Cavs lost their first game under Lue against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
