Whatever Happened To Tommy Cash

When you’re the little brother of the biggest Country Music star in the world, you’ll forever be known as ‘Johnny Cash’s little brother’. There’s really no escaping that. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a huge country classic of your own.

Tommy Cash was born in Dyess, Arkansas just like his older brother. He formed his first band in High School, after which he joined the U.S. Army.

In was in late 1969 that Tommy released what would become his biggest, most memorable hit, ‘Six White Horses’ on Epic Records.

While the 1960′s ‘cultural message songs’ might most be associated with pop/rock artist’s like Crosby, Stills and Nash, Tommy’s ode to John F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. was of the same genre.

If you haven’t heard Tommy sing this classic, sit back and see if it sounds dated or still has a message that ring’s true. And, of course, as you watch and listen, there will be no doubt that, yep, that’s definitely a Cash!

So whatever happened to Tommy Cash?

Tommy is alive and well, still recording music and touring. And, no doubt, still giving audience’s goose bumps with ‘Six White Horses’.
