She's a legend, in both Pop/Rock and Country Music.

Brenda Lee.  She was known for years as 'Little Miss Dynamite'.  Why?  Well, perhaps the video below, from an early 1950's television appearance, will answer that question!

Born Brenda Mae Tarpley, Brenda Lee won a singing talent contest at the age of 6 and so began one of the most successful music careers of the last 60 plus years.

Perhaps best known for her 1960 smash hit 'I'm Sorry', Brenda charted a whopping 47 songs, both Pop and Country, in the 1960s.

'Little Miss Dynamite' stands all of 4'9" and has a voice for the ages and while 'I'm Sorry' maybe her signature song, she also is the talent behind this Christmas standard, the ever-popular 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree'.

So just how legendary is Brenda Lee? Well, she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1997. But wait, she was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Not bad.

So whatever happened to our 'Little Miss Dynamite'?

Married to her husband since 1963, at age 75 Brenda has 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren, and as far as I know, continues to perform, record, and rock...around the Christmas Tree!
