Whatever Happened To Juice Newton?
First of all, no, Juice is not her real name.
Judy Kay Newton was born in New Jersey, and ‘Juice’ came along a little later when she recorded her first album in the early 1970′s with her band. It was called ‘Juice Newton and Silver Spur’.
It was 1981, and Newton’s 3rd solo album, that she really caught the attention of both country and pop music audiences.
That was the year of ‘Angel of the Morning’, ‘The Sweetest Thing’, and ‘Queen of Hearts’. The album sold well over a million copies and Juice Newton had arrived.
In addition to her solo success, Juice also recorded with (and hit hits with) Country Star Eddie Rabbit.
So whatever happened to Juice Newton?
At the age of 61, Juice is alive and well and still recording music. In addition to repackaged versions of her earlier hits, she also releases new music.
