Clint Eastwood.  Really, just the name is enough.

A legend?  An icon? The biggest movie star over the last half century?

Well, the first two are a 'for sure', and the third is certainly arguable.

Many were introduced to Eastwood on the small screen in the classic western 'Rawhide'.

Then we enjoyed his so-called 'Spaghetti Westerns'.  Of course, you didn't want to mess with 'Dirty Harry' either.

And then....a change for the western/action movie hero.

His new movie was something called 'Every Which Way But Loose'.  Huh?  What was this?  Well, check out the movie trailer that introduced us (at least, those of us on the planet in 1978) to a different kind of Clint Eastwood movie.

Of course, the late great Eddie Rabbit had a huge #1 Country Music hit (now a classic) with the theme from the movie.  Let's check Eddie singing that classic over the opening scene from the film.

Yep, Clint Eastwood, here and with other ventures, has been a good friend to Classic Country Music.
