That's the case with this quick story. What does ZIP Code stand for anyway?

I don't know, but I've been writing them on envelopes my whole life. Maybe it's time to find out what it means.

ZIP Codes are a system of postal codes used by the United States Postal Service since 1963. ZIP stands for "Zone Improvement Plan".

It was chosen to suggest that mail travels more quickly, or as you would say, "It's zipping along."
