What are the most popular names for boys and girls today? Some of the names from the old school have stayed with the changing world.

And some of the names on today's list were not even heard of when I was a kid. And then there's one name that's as old as the biblical times, and it even tops the list for boys.

When I was growing up, there were Kevins, Mikes, Brians and Daves. Over where the girls were playing there was Deb, Julie, Becky, Laurie and then there was Robin.

Actually there were two Robins that I got quite friendly with, but let's not go any further on that.

Let's now look at today's most popular names for both boys and girls. And this is the surefire, foolproof method of getting 'the list'.

Here's the the word from the Social Security Administration's 2014 list of the most popular baby names, which is based on the applications for Social Security numbers in 2014.
