NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Darius Rucker has had a street named after him. It's in North Charleston, South Carolina. The street that now bears his name leads up to the North Charleston Coliseum where Hootie and the Blowfish played in the 1990s - shortly after the arena opened.

Rucker grew up in the Charleston area - and was on hand for the ceremony yesterday. Rucker is now a solo country artist - and says he may return to the venue this fall to play some of his newer music.
