SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A Minnesota woman has died of cancer just days after her daughter's wedding was moved from Mexico to a Sioux Falls hospital so she could see it.

KSFY-TV report that Delores Vastenhout, of Leota, Minn., died Friday at Avera-McKennan Hospital.

Her daughter, Nicole, of Yankton, had planned to marry Ken Decker next month in Mexico. But when the family learned the cancer had gotten worse and Vastenhout had only a few days to live, they moved up the wedding to Dec. 23.

Nicole's sister, Christy Menning, of Hartford, says the next evening, the family celebrated Christmas in her mom's hospital room.

Vastenhout's funeral is Tuesday in Leota.
