Ah summertime! County and state fairs gear up and people line up for savory samples of the latest culinary concoctions. If however, you are a person satisfied with a mere corn dog, cotton candy and snow cone combo, you may want to bypass this lexicon of tastebud tempting fare.This is just a small sampling of what you'll find at the Minnesota State Fair from August 27 to September 7, 2015 in St. Paul.

How about stuffed Italian meatloaf-on-a-stick, mac & cheese cupcakes, deep-fried ribs, maple-bacon funnel cakes, and tipsy fruit pies (laced with boooooze). For you crazy adventurous foodies- -try the BBQ pickle ice cream, Hot tail (roasted pig tail covered with ginger scallion sauce) or Kimchi 'n Curry Poutine!

Sure there are concerts, carnival rides, 4-H exhibits, cooking demos and more, but let's be honest, we're there for the food. Or maybe that's just me! Want a preview of all the goodies being offered in St. Paul for the fair? I hope you have a napkin with you!
