Anybody that's been around drag racing knows the name John Force. He is a living legend in the sport as a Funny Car driver.

Force is a 16-time champion in the fore mentioned class with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

You don't win as much as Force has without crashing on occasion. At a race in Dallas, Texas in 2007, he lost a tire while going down the track and crashed into competitor Kenny Bernstein. In that crash, Force broke both of his legs.

Sunday (February 25), the 68-year old Force was involved in another scary accident. His engine blew and he crashed into fellow racer Jonnie Lindberg. Things got worse when their parachutes became tangled.

The crash sent Force to the hospital for evaluation. He was released, and immediately raced back to the track in time to watch his daughter Courtney win the event in her Funny Car.

It is a hard core racing family as John Force's other daughter and reigning Top Fuel champion Brittany had to be hospitalized after a crash in California two weeks ago, with some bruising in her lungs. She, too, was back competing.

Let's watch the crash involving John Force and Jonnie Lindberg at Arizona Sunday:
