Those that attended a charity fundraising event called the Girls of Summer at City Winery in Nashville were pleasantly surprised with a cameo appearance by Kelsea Ballerini.

Along with her hits 'Love Me Like You Mean It' and 'Dibs', Ballerini treated the somewhat stunned audience with an uncut track that didn't quite make it to her debut album The First Time.

After explaining to the audience that she wrote the song but failed to get it to her label on time to make the cut of her album, Ballerini gives a great performance of the song titled 'High School'.

The song tells a tale of a man who is stuck in his high school years and a young woman who can't seem to let go of the past, even though her life is moving on without the man from the past. In a unique twist during the third verse of the song, it's made apparent that Kelsey is now the young woman that leaves the high school life behind and doesn't choose to be a part of that past life.

As Ballerini sings the unreleased cut 'High School', the audience is drawn in by her beautiful voice and knowing that they are hearing a song that didn't make it to her album.

Kelsea Ballerini will be playing the District on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 9:00PM. Do you think there is a chance that fans of the 'Dibs' singer will be able to hear this unreleased hit 'High School'?

Listen and get to know it before her performance at the District.
