On this date, September 22, it's the anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln issuing the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, proposing to free all slaves. It took place September 22, 1862.

That is 152 years ago. Seems like ancient history.

Doesn't seem possible that someone could actually appear on TV that saw Lincoln in real life. But here's living proof of such a thing.

In February 1956, two months before his death, 96-year-old Samuel J. Seymour appeared on the CBS television show "I've Got A Secret".

He was at Ford's Theatre as a 5-year old boy. What does he remember from that night?
