Washington and West Central are softball dynasties in South Dakota, and both schools added another title to their trophy cases over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Class A state championship ended in dramatic fashion. Amirah Michaeli hit a walk-off grand slam to defeat Roosevelt, 6-3. The Warriors captured their third straight softball title, and fifth overall title.

West Central won the Class B state title on Sunday in a 13-0 pounding of Brandon Valley. In fact, West Central needed just three innings to win over the Lynx for the title. West Central won their sixth state title and finished a perfect, 16-0.
