YANKTON, S.D. (AP) — State officials are seeking out any prospective proprietors who want run their own resort at the Lewis and Clark Recreation Area near Yankton.

The Game, Fish and Parks Department is looking for someone to buy the Lewis and Clark Resort.

Regional Park Supervisor Jeff Van Meeteren says the resort is commercially operated under a lease with the department but that the lodging facilities and property are privately owned.

Meeteren says the current owners have decided to leave and sell the facilities that include 17 rental cabins, 24 motels units and a large group lodge.

Officials are advertising a 10-year lease. Offers must be received by Sept. 16.
