In northeast South Dakota, a few miles east of Aberdeen, sits a small town named Bristol. In the 1930s Ernest Korniguer ran the local movie theater. As a way to create excitement about the movies, he filmed the local people in Bristol. He'd then show these films at the theater. Korniguer made the 670 residents of the town the starts of his movies.

Now, Korniguer's son Paul narrates a collection of clips from the old films. It's a wonderful tour of everyday life in 1938. Paul names some of the people in the film and tell us about the town. See anyone you know?
