On a Scale of one to ten shopping at locally owned businesses is an ELEVEN. Seriously! Shopping local creates a cycle of local spending, creating More local jobs, extra tax revenue for the city and state and more support for nonprofit organizations. When you shop local 55.2 % of the money is recirculated back into the city, compared to just 13.6 % for big chains.
