Victims of Gas Pump Skimmers in Brown County Increases to 12

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — A dozen people so far have reported compromised financial accounts due to skimmers found on two gas pumps in Brown County.

The devices steal information from debit cards or credit cards when people use them to pay for gas. The American News reports that the skimmers were found Friday.

One of the devices also was found at an Aberdeen gas station last November, resulting in about 30 credit card and debit card accounts being compromised.
