SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the value of South Dakota's 2015 field and miscellaneous crops is forecast at $6.05 billion.

The USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service says that's a 7 percent decrease from 2014.

The value of corn production is expected to total $2.60 billion, down 1 percent from the previous marketing year. South Dakota's corn price is projected to average $3.25 per bushel, a decrease of nine cents per bushel from the last marketing year.

The value of soybean production is expected to total $1.98 billion, down 8 percent from the previous marketing year. South Dakota's soybean price is projected to average $8.40 per bushel, a decrease of 97 cents from the last marketing year.
