US Forest Service Launches Apps for Apple, Android

WASHINGTON (AP) — Trekking through the nation's national forests and grasslands just got easier.

U.S. Forest Service visitor maps are now available on mobile apps for Android and iOS devices.

The digital maps are part of the U.S. Agriculture Department's work toward reaching President Obama's initiative to create a paperless government that also provides the American public with better, more accessible information.
